Certified intruder and blast resistant security doors
Empress Steel SECURDOOR
Empress Steel SECURDOOR has been successfully tested to Warrington Exova Certisecure STS 202 and PAS 24 standards, and is included in the ‘Secured by Design’ scheme.
SECUR-DOR 2 (STS 202 BR2 & PAS 24) and SECUR-DOR 3 (STS 202 BR3) are both included on the ‘Secured by Design’ scheme. However, SECUR-DOR 4 is tested to the European Security Standard DD ENV 1627:1999 and further enhanced for blast resistance – tested to EXR2 and EXR3 of the BS EN 13124-2:2004 Explosion Resistance standard.
Security doors offer a physical barrier designed to deter and delay intruders for a specified time period. These doors should be used in conjunction with secondary defences and specified accordingly.
The use of security doors is particularly project specific and a number of questions should be addressed before a specification is finalised. We would recommend discussing your requirements with our sales team here to evaluate the appropriate level of security door for your project.
SECUR-DOR PAS 24 Security Doors
PAS 24 approved door sets have been introduced to combat the threat of attack and burglary in social housing and new-build designs, meaning improved security and peace of mind for the customer. To ensure that security is at optimum level, we put all of our doors through the PAS 24 attack test.
The PAS 24 is an attack test standard for door sets which certifies that a particular door, frame, lock and hard wear set has withstood a series of physical tests based on common methods of burglary. These door sets provide the minimum police requirement for ‘Secured by Design’ dwellings.
The PAS 24 standard is awarded by a UKAS accredited certification body and replaces a number of earlier standards with effect from August 2012. This standard assures the purchaser that the product has been manufactured to an approved, and verified, standard.
